Can your pelvis be giving you neck pain?Have you noticed that one of your legs may or may not appear shorter than the other? There is an easy way to check. Lay down on the floor, body straight, legs together, hands to your sides and have another person grab your heels and measure if they touch at the same point, if one leg seems to be shorter than the other you are experiencing, what we call in the chiropractic world, a pelvic tilt or a neck misalignment. When your pelvis is misaligned it causes the rest of your spine to also be misaligned all the way up to your neck. Other symptoms of a pelvic tilt are: low back pain, soreness on only one side of the upper back, fatigue and neck pain. The way to correct this condition is to visit your chiropractor, get examined and get adjusted until the pelvis is back to it proper position. The video below explains in more detail. Recipe for a Great Alternative to CoffeeFor many years our family battled with completely kicking caffeine from our daily rituals. The mornings are a great time for a warm cup of java or maybe after dinner. But even though we knew that caffeine was bad for us (I even ended up with a case of thyroid dysfunction because of caffeine) we continued to drink caffeinated tea or coffee. It was a matter of habit and great taste, not health. Then we discovered Roastaroma tea made by Celestial Seasonings. It has the look, smell and taste of coffee without the caffeine. We started drinking it only with a splash of almond milk, then one day I combined one bag of tea with a tablespoon of green stevia powder and brewed in the coffee maker. Later, I went one step further and added a dash of cinnamon and kept the almond milk. Whoa! It tasted like something right out of Starbucks. With this recipe, my wife and I did not have to give up our morning ritual; we just deleted the caffeine from the equation. Our energy levels are higher and we have better mental clarity to boot. If you are really determined to kick the caffeine addiction and have switched over to decaf thinking it was better for you, I am so sorry to to burst your bubble, decaf is no better. Green tea contains less caffeine then decaf coffee. The recipe below contains zero caffeine and it can be made into a latte that will blow your socks off. Give this recipe a try and let us know how you like it. Watch the video below for a short tutorial. In the coffee maker brew: 6 cups water 1 tablespoon of green stevia at the bottom of the filter 1 bag of Roastaroma placed on top of the stevia Once it is brewed add a splash of almond milk and a dash of cinnamon. For a stronger taste brew 4-6 cups of water. For a lighter taste brew 8-10 cups of water. Click below to see the products: Stevia Herb Powder Seasonings Roastaroma Tea Click the Like button below. Stop Fighting With the PillowMany of us wake up in the morning with a stiff neck and we think we have done nothing to cause the stiffness and pain. In reality what we do while sleeping is just as important as what we do while we are awake. The one thing that is supposed to be making you comfortable while you sleep could be causing you pain - your pillow. Sometimes we go to bed excited or emotionally charged, even about good things that happened during our day and when we go to bed we start to press on our pillow in different directions. We might fall sleep while we are still putting pressure on the pillow. Even if it's slight pressure, it can go on for hours while the muscles are still tense and this is what causes the stiffness. Imagine carrying a bag of groceries that weighs only two pounds, but you carry it for four hours while your arm is bent. When you put the grocery bag down after four hours, you will notice the stiffness in your arm. The same goes for your neck and the pillow. Watch the video below to watch Dr. Masoud demonstrate the right and wrong way to lay on a pillow. Most people don't know car insurance coverage doesn't necessarily mean that passenger are covered? The car insurances accessible to most Americans blend the worst of both worlds: high prices and low benefits. It promotes exaggerated litigation, encourages fraud, too much compensation for minor injuries, it under-compensates major injuries and it is so expensive that millions drive without insurance. What is Med Pay? Automobile insurance protects your automobile, not the people inside of it. "Medical Payments to Others" (AKA Med Pay) covers the medical cost of all passengers in your car if they are injured in an accident. Med Pay will cover the medical expenses resulting from an car accident, regardless of who was at fault. Only injuries caused by the accident will be covered by Med Pay and limits are usually below $25,000.
