By: Dr. Masoud Shamaiezadeh This is a case study of one of our patients who came to us two years ago complaining of back and neck pain. After receiving relief care, the patient left and came back a year later for maintenance care. At that time, he made the decision to become a wellness patient; meaning he came in for adjustments four to five times a week to improve his health rather than to just receive relief care. When he began his wellness care, the patient commented to us that although for the last decade he had eaten a very healthy diet and had ran four to five miles a day, five days a week; he was never able to lower his blood pressure. He was taking medication to lower his blood pressure and had given up on the idea of reducing his blood pressure naturally with out drugs. Two months after being on chiropractic wellness care, his blood pressure lowered but he was still taking medication. Nine months after starting wellness care, his blood pressure returned to normal without medication. He stopped taking medication six months into his wellness care. Because the patient had a good exercise routine and was eating healthy, chiropractic adjustments were the decisive factor that helped lower his blood pressure.
